I'm a little late but on the 22nd the pope said that he believed that it was now that we should protect the relationship between a man and a woman. But then I'm not really upset because it's something I'll expect from the Catholic religon.
But yes the pope believes that we all should defend the relationships between men and women so that the order of procreation can be respected. The New York based International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commisson reacted promptly to the pope and argued about the rights for gays to be free to be who they are.
