
An Egyptian man said that he was offering his 20-year old daughter to marry an Iraqi journalist Muntazer al-Zaidi, who threw his shoes at U.S. President, George Bush on a Sunday when he was in Baghdad.
The daughter, Amal Saad Gumaa, said she agrees with this idea. She said, "this is something that would honor. I would like to live in Iraq, especially if I were attached to this hero."
Her father, Saad Gumaa, said that he called Dergham, Zaidi's brother to tell him an offer. He said to him, "I find nothing more valuable than my daughter to offer to him, and I am provide her with everything needed for marriage."
